Acts 1:1-11; John 14:1-4

Acts 1:9(NIV): After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight.

Jesus lived on earth for 33 years, but heaven is his home.

John 8:23(NIV): But he continued, “You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world.

When we become followers of Jesus, heaven becomes our home too.

John 17:14(NIV): 14 I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world.

Ephesians 2:19(NIV): Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household.

So what do we know about heaven? Heaven is:

· Our home - John 14:2-3

· Forever - Psalm 23:6, John 3:16

· Wonderful - Revelation 21:1-4

Do you know where you’re going?

Do you have a hope beyond this world?

1 John 2:15-17(NIV): Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.
