Deuteronomy 6:4-9; Ephesians 6:1-4

Deuteronomy 6:6-7: These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.

Being a good Dad is not easy. There is very little training, high stakes, and impressionable children watching our every move. We need God’s help! These scriptures tell us to:

· Love our children - Deuteronomy 6:5, John 3:16

· Discipline our children - Deuteronomy 6:6-9

· Instruct our children - Ephesians 6:4

God designed the family, with a specific and special role for fathers. He is the one who will help Dads become more Godly fathers.

Malachi 4:6: He will turn the hearts of the parents to their children, and the hearts of the children to their parents; or else I will come and strike the land with total destruction.”
